I think that fundamentally, there are really only two fears:

1) Death
2) Social rejection

Both are equally irrational.

hahahaha maybe

here are mine in no particular order:

-getting hit by an invisible car
-drowning
-nuclear war
-dieing in a meteorite impact
-predetermination
-leaving my room
-being stalked
-torture
-waking up blind
-malicious ghosts

underneath it all though i think you're right. death ties them together but for me there is also a fear of control and the question that goes with it:"who has it?"

well FINE! in the vein of the concrete:

1. getting shat on by a bird...esp. in the mouth. statistically...it's bound to happen eventually.

2. slowly going deaf as earwax accumulates in my ear. yes i know you can fucking clean your ears. that's why the fear is IRRATIONAL, ass face.

3. being on a plane that crashes into an enchanted island. but i die d in the crash and i don't really get to enjoy the island that much.

4. finding out my parents have a rare genetic disorder that will kill me slowly and painfully. like a predisposition to cancer. true story.

5. shitting/pissing my pants when i die. HOW embarrassing.

6. serial killers/ business executives/ secret agents and any other occupation that is dominated by psychopaths

7. i have an almost insane fear of decapitation. this is what happens when you watch french revolution documentaries as a child. this has been counteracted by my love of violent/gory first person shooters. yay desensitization!

8. finding out that everything i know is wrong.

9. bleeding to death.

10. medieval europe.
