funny joke, right? part 1

so check this out

i got this joke thats been in my head for a while but i cant for the life of me figure out a punch line:

this guy is all stressed out right, but you only know it because you know he's a desk jockey and he has this look on his face like someone shat in his coffee or put chalk in his toothpaste.

so this guy shows up for work and he's got coke on his nose, but he doesnt realize it.

his boss comes by his cubicle and says: "are you seriously working today?"

and the guy says back "does it look like im serious?"

the boss comes back and says "______" what? what would the boss say to this guy who is seriously just stressed the fuck out and trying to cope with being in a job he hates by doing coke every morning? better question: what would the boss say that would be funny? the entire dialog is subject to change if i can just figure out a funny punch line.

panel 1. guy sits at cubicle w/ bloodshot eyes and coke under his left nostril

panel 2. boss walks by w/ #1 boss coffee mug and stops to look in on our hero protagonist

panel 3. stare down (boss trying to process whats wrong with the picture)

panel 4. "are you seriously working today?"

panel 5. "does it look like im serious"

end? is that funny? what would make it kind of funny is the expression on our joe protags face when he says does it look like im serious... but that might call for a level of cartooning detail that might make the whole comic unfunny. if it were a stick figure with a white line on its face... that would be kind of funny. if it were a dude with white powder under its nose that would be too real. ah, dilemmas.
