sunsets

So a few days ago, I was sitting outside drinking, blazing, reading a bit (Neil Gaiman's American Gods,) and watching the sun set on a beautiful spring day.

It was the perfect moment and I knew with certainty that I was truly happy then.

I also knew that the moment would last at most another hour. And this realization hit me like a pile-driver. An existential pile-driver... armor plated with ennui.

Life isn't about scrounging for happiness, flitting from moment to moment worrying about the next moment. You don't watch a sunset worrying about the night.

Happiness should not be exogenously determined. Humans are meant to adapt. So... ADAPT!

Yeah...that's all I can really say.
