Probably the most callous thing I read today

From a Bloomberg article (Five New Careers Await World's Jobless Bankers by Matthew Lynn) that got forwarded to me:

"Africa: We all know that the continent is in a mess. Many of its economies are in chaos, many of the governments are corrupt and inept and, in some cases, populations are falling. In countries such as Zimbabwe, the economy has all but collapsed amid hyperinflation. Yet the world can't just ignore Africa. It has vast mineral wealth and huge quantities of underused land that are needed for food and bio-fuels."

Suffering of the people... not too concerning. But by the grace of God (Ronald Reagan) we're not going to let that bio-fuel slip through our hands. "But wait you silly executive. Don't forget that people can be food and bio-fuel as well! Those industrious Germans found that out over half a century ago!"

Ah bankers... your crocodile tears taste like delicious comeuppance.

reaganomics!... wait, what?

on a side note. i saw W the movie. probably the most hillarious scene of world domination ever concocted to be a serious attempt at representing a conversion that... hmm... lost my train of thought. but hillarious. go see it. you will laugh extremely hard at one of the most inappropriate things to laugh at since that unintentionally homo erotic denzel washington scene from philadelphia. you know the one.

also go see the dutchess... and prepare to laugh harder than you may have ever laughed in a dead silent theater. ever.

but see W first. and if you're really feeling ambitious ... no never mind. ambition is not appropriate for the above activities. neither are expectations. of any kind.

carry on.
